One of MBRG’s recent projects was a dramatic transformation: a whole house remodel and addition for a family in Alexandria, Virginia. When the homeowners moved in, they started with a house built more than 50 years ago that had very little done to it.

The main goals were to update the home and make it better suited to the lifestyle and needs of the family. We knew that a large addition would be required, but we were also asked to make changes to almost every room in the original structure.

When the project was completed, MBRG had added a large rear addition with an open kitchen and family room that were connected, a butler’s pantry, a front porch, a large master bedroom with a walk-in closet, and a luxurious master bath. We also remodeled the unfinished basement, the powder room, and two secondary bathrooms. In addition to the interior transformations, we also created a beautiful new outdoor living space in the backyard.
