Featured Project: A Bathroom Remodel in McLean, VA

In this bathroom remodel in McLean, Virginia, we undertook a significant remodel to the space. The result is a luxurious spa bathroom. As with all of our projects, we began by discussing with our clients how they used their bedroom space, including two small walk-in closets and a study. We decided that the overall space would be better used by closing off a wall to create one large closet off the primary bedroom. That allowed us to have dedicated space to create an oversized primary bath.

Hybrid Wet Room

The main focal point of this bathroom remodel in McLean is a hybrid wet room with a soaking tub. As discussed in a previous blog article titled Wet Room Bathrooms: The Epitome of Luxury, hybrid wet rooms (a wet area comprising the shower and bathtub with the vanity and toilet remaining separate) are very popular today. This wet room transforms the space by creating a sense of serenity and luxury.

Double Vanity

In addition to the wet room, we created his and her water closets for our clients. We also installed a spacious double vanity with undercounter and floor-to-ceiling storage. Opposite the double vanity, and beside a large window for natural light, is a custom make-up vanity. Finally, we installed a wet bar at the entry of the primary bathroom, allowing our clients to enjoy coffee or chilled juice at the beginning of the day and warm tea at night.
